Tamoxifen Treatment Protocol

Protocol for newborn mice.

  1. Add 0.025 grams of tamoxifen to 1.5 ml tube.
  2. Add 100 ul of 100% ethanol.
  3. Add 900 ul of peanut oil.
  4. Vortex for 20 minutes.
  5. Feed newborn mice 2 ul w/a pipette. 

 

Protocol for adult mice.

  1. Add 0.02 grams of tamoxifen to 1.5 ml tube.
  2. Add 100 ul of 100% ethanol.
  3. Add 900 ul of sunflower oil.
  4. Vortex for 20 minutes.
  5. Inject (i.p.) 100 ul w/syringe and 27-gauge needle.
